Battle Brothers is a tactical turn—based RPG set in a harsh medieval fantasy world where you have to manage a mercenary company. You decide where to go, who to hire or who to fight, what contracts to take, and how to equip your people in an open, procedurally generated world. Can you lead them to victory through a series of bloody battles?
The gameplay has two components: a strategic world map and tactical battles. On the world map, your movement is unlimited: you can travel to sign contracts that will bring you a good income, find places where you can get loot, avoid chasing enemies, or cities where you can replenish supplies and hire people. Here you manage your mercenaries, raise their level and equip them for battle. As soon as you encounter a hostile group, the game switches to a tactical map, where the battle takes place in the form of a detailed turn-based battle.
